Engineering Projects

Circuits, simulations, schematics, and projects. I chose Electrical Engineering as a specialty for applied programming, but I have found it surprisingly satisfying to assemble a working circuit - particularly when it produces tangible results.

Folding Electric Board

2023

Team Project: A compact electric skateboard for easy storage. Applied Electrical, Mechanical, and Project Management. Selected to present at STEM External Advisory Board Meeting.

LED Infinity Cap

2022

Designed, modeled, printed, and assembled a frame to make this optical illusion graduation cap decoration for a friend.

Motor Controller

Multisim - 2022

Designed and simulated a motor controller for a 4-input stepper motor using only a clock and digital logic. Includes on/off switch and bidirectional rotation.

Capacitor Demonstration Circuit with LED Voltage Indicator

2022

Team Project: Designed and built a capacitor charge and discharge LED meter. The LED Voltage Indicator uses simple, cheap components like diodes and resistors.

Data and Modeling Project Management

2021

Dynamic system model and data analysis for a project proposal: high-speed package delivery between major cities using a vacuum tube and maglev rails.

3D Omnidirectional Reflector

2021

Optics project - create a reflector that always reflects light back to the source. I created the algebraic proof and supporting graphics from scratch, and performed tests.

A concept for a refillable whiteboard marker dock that I developed in my project management classes. I gathered customer feedback, performed task breakdown, cost estimates, patent searches, etc.
